GM recently unveiled the 2015 model of the Cadillac Escalade, and it’s worthy of a triple take. The new model ushered in redesigns on both the inside and out that left no one disappointed. A brand new front end and a completely new machine under the hood are just a few changes to be excited about.
What’s New On The Outside?
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade model has one of the most polished and refined exteriors of any vehicle on the market. To improve upon excellence is a challenge for anyone, but GM delivered. They actually checked the ez battery reconditioning review The signature shield-shaped grille is even bolder than before and sporting new aerodynamic technology. At highway speeds, the grille will sense resistance and close air shutters to avoid catching any drag. A hands-free liftgate and freshly designed hood are now crafted from aluminum to reduce overall weight. The doors of the Escalade have a new inlaid design with tighter panel gaps to reduce wind noise and drag. The LED lighting is even more defined and set deeper in the vehicle for a bolder look. The exterior updates are only scratching the surface of the overall 2015 redesign.
The totally redesigned interior sets the Escalade apart from the rest in the sport utility class. Hand-stitched leather surfaces were added to the cabin as well as an elm wood trim in a matte finish. The front dash was reworked to include a new infotainment center, the Cadillac CUE system, which replaces buttons and knobs for a touchscreen. The reworked cabin is setting a new standard for luxury vehicles, and the internal components are separating the Escalade from the pack.
Unmatched Utility in Luxury Vehicles
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade will be offered in a rear- or four-wheel drive option with a new 6.2-liter V8. The EcoTec3 engine will pump out 420 horsepower and generate 460 lb-ft of torque while the six-speed Hydra-Matic transmission is enhanced with TapShift control. To promote durability and hauling capacity, the Escalade rides on a separate ladder frame. The 2015 model will be rated to tow up to 8,200 lbs. Boats and trailers everywhere should beware, their towing hitch has Escalade written all over it.
